The reason I am doing these lessons is that I would like to be able to help some people learn the language that I was fortunate enough to be born with. I always loved english in school but for some reason how to structure a proper sentence and grammar didn’t stick in my head. I love to read book so I think I would enjoy teaching english. Should I try to teach myself as I go though university and than maybe by the time I graduate I will know all aspects of english well?

“It is to soon to start a conversation with the doctor.” How would you grade that sentence? A-B-C-D-F!
What would you say if I use the word “early” instead of “soon?” Which one is better? That sentence, mainly, is saying whatever you have in mind- are planning to share- with the doctor it would be better to wait. Can you flip that sentence around without changing the meaning? Please help, thanks.

On my last two papers I got a 3.5 because I had great observations/analysis but I had bad grammar and style. I tried my very best to fix all the little mistakes but I still get it wrong. Should I just ask someone to correct it with me? My English can only be this good. If my teacher told me to add more analysis than it’s easy but to improve my grammar/style is hard. Everyone else in the class is getting like a 3.7+.

Thanks.

I realize that in conversation and oral discussion “but” and “because” often appear in the same sentence together, however, in written Grammar, can these words be used in the same sentence?

Example) I love my new apartment because it is modern, but it is a lot more expensive.

Would there be anything wrong with that?
